About Kenneth Bainey
Ken Bainey is a respected Information Technology and project delivery leader with more than four decades of hands-on experience. He has served as a Chief Information Officer in public and private sector organizations and is recognized for innovative leadership, delivery excellence, and practical results.
As retired CIO at the Government of Alberta's Ministry of Infrastructure and Ministry of Transportation, Ken led major modernization and technology initiatives and received Premier's Awards of Excellence for his contributions.
He has worked with major organizations in Canada and the United States, including Canadian Pacific Railway, Union Pacific, IBM, Petro-Canada, Telus/AGT, US West Communications, EPCOR, and Nova Scotia Power.
Ken currently lectures part-time at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, teaching Project Management and Technical Development courses. He holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, a BSc from the University of Alberta, and designations including PMP, P.Mgr., C.Mgr., CIM, and CCP.
